Injury in the Workplace: the Role of Social Capital
Centre for Health & Safety Innovation Research Exchange Series
Mississauga, Ontario
October 6, 2009

During the March 31, 2009 Centre for Health & Safety Innovation Research Exchange Series we presented evidence for associations between social capital and physical and overall health. In that presentation we suggested the workplace social capital may be associated with work-related injury and disability. This presentation will highlight findings from a cross-sectional analysis of the 2005 Canadian Community Health Survey conducted to examine the associations between workplace social capital and work-related repetitive strain injury and work-related serious injuries.
